These noodles are so creamy and moreish and would be great to serve alongside some of our dumplings or duck & bun hamper as part of a Chinese feast. Or simply enjoy them on their own!
Noodles of your choice
2 cloves finely minced garlic
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tsp Sichuan pepper
4 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp Soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp black vinegar
1 tbsp tahini or peanut butter
*omit the chilli flakes for a mild version
Put the garlic, chilli flakes, sesame seeds and Sichuan pepper in a heatproof bowl.
Heat the oil & pour it over the spices so they sizzle, then add soy sauce, sugar vinegar & tahini.
Boil the noodles, stir a little bit of the hot starchy noodle water into the sauce then drain the noodles and mix into the sauce.
